Brent Clark is an educator and a longtime media professional and executive who has served on multiple industry and community boards, including Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Southeast and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast Chapter. Over his two decades in media, he has earned several honors, including WICT National’s Chapter Leader of the Year Award, the John Seigenthaler Making KIDS COUNT Media Award, and a regional Emmy nomination. He also appeared as a Capitol Police officer on the acclaimed series The West Wing, reflecting his broad experience across both creative and production roles.
Before beginning his media career, Clark worked at Cherokee Town & Country Club starting at age sixteen, later spending nineteen years with the organization, which was ranked the number-one private club in North America for twelve consecutive years during his tenure. He also spent more than a decade helping manage his family’s cattle farm in rural Tennessee, giving him firsthand experience with the challenges facing agricultural producers and rural families.
Clark is known for his lifelong commitment to family and caregiving. He moved in with his grandmother the day his grandfather passed away and remained by her side for eighteen and a half years. After her passing, where he grew up and attended Marietta Middle School and Marietta High School, to care for his father, a 42-year U.S. Navy veteran living with multiple sclerosis.
“These years taught me that when you love someone, you show up every day—no excuses,” Clark said. “The same dedication I brought to caring for my family is the dedication I’ll bring to serving the people of Georgia’s 11th Congressional District.” Friends and colleagues describe him as a steady, reliable presence whose personal and professional life has always centered on service, integrity, and responsibility.
With more than twenty years of experience in television and public broadcasting—including serving as Director of Content & Digital Media at WCTE, a PBS member station—as well as roles with Warner Bros. Discovery, CMT, and Scripps Networks, Clark has begun exploratory conversations about a potential run in Georgia’s 11th Congressional District. During his time at WCTE, he helped lead award-winning local programming and community initiatives, including the station’s Emmy recognition and the John Seigenthaler Making KIDS COUNT Media Award.
He holds a triple major from Kennesaw State University, an MBA from Georgia State University, a Global Executive MBA from Georgia Tech, and a Master of Science from Columbia University. He has completed admission coursework toward the Master of Liberal Arts in Government at Harvard University, including graduate study in international humanitarian law and the legal frameworks governing armed conflict.
In early discussions, Clark has emphasized strengthening local communities, supporting working families, improving healthcare access, serving veterans, and protecting the region’s long-term economic future. Raised in Marietta and connected to both rural and suburban communities, he stresses a “People Before Politics” approach and has made no formal announcement. His interest in GA-11 reflects a commitment to ensuring that communities have strong, stable, service-focused representation.
Brent Clark is currently exploring a potential Democratic campaign for the United States House of Representatives in Georgia’s 11th Congressional District. He has made no formal announcement at this time.

Georgia’s 11th District deserves leadership that defends democratic institutions, protects voting rights, and upholds the rule of law. Brent believes every eligible voter should have access to the ballot, that civil rights must be protected, and that extremism has no place in public service.
Brent supports policies that protect workers’ rights, strengthen labor standards, and ensure the tax code works for working families — not just the well-connected.
Brent supports protecting and expanding affordable healthcare access, lowering prescription drug costs, safeguarding Medicare and Social Security, and strengthening mental health services across the district.
Residents value responsible governance that invests in infrastructure, public education, healthcare, and economic opportunity while ensuring the tax system is fair and sustainable.
Brent believes fundamental rights — including voting rights, equal protection under the law, and reproductive freedom — must be protected. Government should not interfere in deeply personal medical decisions.
Strong public schools are the foundation of opportunity. Brent supports fully funding public education, strengthening teacher support, investing in career and technical training, and ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education regardless of ZIP code.
Targeted Community Investment: Investing in infrastructure, broadband, public transit, and essential services to ensure every neighborhood — urban, suburban, and rural — has the tools to thrive.
Supporting Workers and Workforce Development: Expanding job training, strengthening labor protections, and creating pathways to good-paying careers through technical education and apprenticeship programs.
Smart Infrastructure & Sustainable Growth: Planning for growth responsibly — improving transportation, investing in sustainable development, and ensuring expansion protects quality of life.
Strengthening Small Businesses & Main Streets: Supporting locally owned businesses, revitalizing downtown corridors, and ensuring entrepreneurs have fair access to capital and opportunity.
Managing Growth with Equity: Addressing traffic, school capacity, and emergency services while ensuring resources are distributed fairly across communities.
Expanding Mental Health & Addiction Services: Investing in accessible mental health care and substance abuse treatment so families can receive the support they need.
Accountable and Fair Governance: Promoting policies that encourage innovation and economic growth while protecting workers, consumers, and the environment.
A collection of thoughts, lessons, and values that shape how I view leadership, service, and community. These are the principles that guide how I lead, how I listen, and how I serve:
“If it was wrong, it was just wrong — and I don't care which side of the pendulum you were on. If it’s wrong, it’s wrong!”
— Elyse W. Pervis (Brent's grandmother)
What comes next must be shaped by the real lives of the people who call GA-11 home, not by the noise coming out of Washington. If you share that belief, your voice and your involvement matter.
